Workshops

In the first three months of 2014, 49 Writers offered free memoir writing workshops for individuals interested in developing a story for submission to the anthology.

Participants in the four workshops were residents of the Municipality of Anchorage, 50 years and older, who met the following criteria:
  • I'm interested in learning about memoir writing.
  • I have a story to tell or would like to develop a story about living in Anchorage.
  • I want to receive feedback on my writing.
  • I'm open to working with a writing mentor.
  • I'd like to submit a short piece of memoir to the Anchorage Remembers Anthology.
Each workshop consisted of four two-hour sessions, for a total of eight hours of instruction.
